During the Cold War, Soviet agents watch Professor Henry Jones when a young man brings him a coded message from an aged, demented colleague, Henry Oxley. Led by the brilliant Irina Spalko, the Soviets tail Jones and the young man, Mutt, to Peru. With Oxley's code, they find a legendary skull made of a single piece of quartz. If Jones can deliver the skull to its rightful place, all may be well; but if Irina takes it to its origin, she'll gain powers that could endanger the West. San Carlos is very fortunate to have very active Men's and Women's Golf Associations.  Both groups play from November to April.  The women play every Tuesday at 9:00 AM.  The men play on Thursday s also at 9:00 AM.  We sponsor several golf tournaments during the season and the public is invited to play.

golfWe have installed an Arizona golf handicap computer in the pro shop at Club de Golf San Carlos.  Anyone who is a member of the Arizona Golf Association can use this computer to enter their scores. This computer is to be used to enter your score after playing a round of golf.  These scores are used to determine your handicap.  You can also look up handicaps of peers to determine the number of strokes that you will get or give when playing a match.  Club de Golf San Carlos is a member club of the Arizona Golf Association.  The AGA provides the resources to enter and calculate handicaps for members of member clubs.  Many other clubs in the US utilize the GHIN handicap system for maintaining handicaps.  The Arizona system is not affiliated with GHIN.  Azgolf.org is affiliated with the USGA.  In order to fairly play with others golf uses a handicapping system which uses your 10 best scores to determine your handicap.  Based on this handicap system you will give or get strokes when playing.  We use the handicaps when playing tournament to level the playing field and giving everyone a chance to win.  This type of system is followed around the world and a handicap is needed to play in most tournaments.

We presently have a Men's Golf Association and a Women's Golf Association at Club de Golf San Carlos.  If you join either group you will get an Arizona Golf Association membership.  If you desire, you can also sign up for a handicap without joining the men's or women's club.
We welcome all levels of golfers to join our associations.  It is a great group of people with a common interest in the game of golf.  We are looking forward to seeing all golfers this fall.
