OBITUARIES
On a sad note
for us that have been residents of San Carlos for a long time. Billie Rae
Jaggers, the wife of Bill Jaggers, passed away last week in Chandler AZ. She had
been fighting cancer for a very long time.
The family is planning on a
memorial in San Carlos the middle of January. More information on the time and
place will be posted later. She was loved by all that knew her and will be
missed.
Don Stanton
Many San Carlos friends will be sad to learn of his death yesterday
in Portland, Oregon, after an illness of several months.
A college
football star in his youth, Don was an avid fisherman, a longtime member of the
San Carlos Yacht Club, and a great gentleman.
Don's family has
requested that any memorial gifts in his honor be made to Rescate. If you make
your check out to Rescate Services, Inc., it will be tax-deductible in the
U.S.
All memorial gifts to Rescate are placed in our Endowment Fund, and
only the interest is used to support our first aid and ambulance
services.
Checks may be given to Rescate's Comandante at our offices, or
brought to Diane Barroll at REmax Realty. Friends in the U.S. can mail their

WAYNE VOHLAND
Wayne L. Vohland age 78, passed away July 9, 2008,
He was a retired produce broker from the Vohland Produce Company in Nogales, Ariz. His love for the outdoors was spent between his home in the Colorado mountains and by the ocean in San Carlos, Mexico. He once owned a farm in Ortiz before an illegal strike forced Wayne to quit the growing business.
Wayne first came to San Carlos in the late 60’s. He was one of the first to build a house on the Caracol Peninsula.
He was a great fisherman and caught an amazing White Sea Bass (69lbs) just two years ago.
Wayne was a kind and gentle soul and his guidance in many areas will be greatly missed.
Known for his love of all animals he would have wanted his friends to help support the local Humane society. SBPA Services,

Homer David Poulson
Homer David Poulson of Scottsdale, Ariz. passed away June 20, 2008. He was born December 31, 1932 in Erie, Pa., son of the late Lorenzo Poulson and Gertrude Slater Poulson. He was a graduate of Lawrence Park High School and the General Electric Apprentice program. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he earned his private pilot's license while stationed in Alaska. In 1961 he founded Twinbrook Tool and Mold in Wesleyville, Pa. Through his efforts in growing the company, he showed us all what determination and hard work could achieve. In 1969, he sold it to The West Company and moved his family to Scottsdale. Shortly thereafter, he founded The Poulson Co. in the Scottsdale Airpark. In 1975, the company was re-named Poulson Plastics as they moved into the fields of mold-making and plastic injection molding. Years later, the company was acquired by The Tech Group, now also a division of West. He was president until retiring in 1987. For his retirement party, he surprised us all by showing up in a rented “Captain Bligh” costume, complete with sword and hat! We are grateful to have had the opportunity to be led by such a humorous and caring leader. Dave enjoyed many years of boating and the cruising life in the Sea of Cortez. He loved Mexico so much that he and his wife set up residence in San Carlos, Guaymas, Mexico in 1988. More than anything he loved to share this wondrous world with his family; many a golden sunset was shared amongst us. After boats became too much work for him, he returned to his life-long love of flying. Dave and Barbara found time for many worldwide travels and adventures, including visits to Peru and the Amazon just last year. Dave was a fifty two year member of the Pennsylvania Perry Keystone Masonic Lodge #392 F&AM, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the Baja Bush Pilots. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Frank Poulson. Two sons Ken (Heather) Poulson of Lakeside, Ariz. and Clayton (Shelley) Poulson of Scottsdale, Ariz. Four grandchildren, Rick, Angela, Matthew (Mindy), and Marissa Poulson. Three brothers, Keith Poulson of Oxford, Mich., George Poulson of Erie, Pa., Walter Poulson of LaJolla, Calif., and one sister Lorraine Hartzell of Erie, Pa. Also his dog Happy. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Poulson, and two sisters, Jeanne Brooks and Sylvia Kress. An informal celebration of Dave’s life will be held July 14th at 9:00am at The Spirit in the Desert in Carefree, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Arizona Humane Society PO Box 90610, Phoenix, AZ 85066 or a charity of one's choice. Sign the guestbook at www.GoErie.com/obits
